Recycled glass that's breaking barriers.
Most people are probably unaware that certain types of coloured glass can't be used
to manufacture new glass products. Despite everyone's efforts to be environmentally
conscious and put bottles in their blue box, unfortunately many still end up in
landfills. One of the most positive things about our Green products is that we have
developed a way to use that “unusable” glass.
We've done this with Poraver® technology, a refined form of post-consumer
recycled glass which we use to make durable, environmentally responsible concrete.
To put this in perspective, even just 1% post-consumer recycled glass content in
each of our products will save 1.9 million glass bottles from landfills each year.

Concrete made using Poraver® is innocuous to ASTM C227 testing for
ASR or alkali-silica reactivity, making it an excellent choice for use with concrete.
In addition to doing the right thing for the environment, products enhanced with
Poraver® are cost efficient, offer excellent performance, consistent
quality, and meet or exceed all industry standards. They are non-toxic, non-combustible,
mold-proof, odourless, chemically stable, unaffected by moisture, and free of any
airborne silica. Plus, they provide excellent noise and heat insulation and have
a high fire-resistance rating.
